The artist residency at Château d’Orquevaux was everything I dreamed—beautiful, creative, and inspiring. But the true magic wasn’t just in the art or the countryside. It was in the people, the conversations, and the shared creative energy that continue to ripple forward.

During my artist residency at Château Orquevaux in the Champagne region of France, I found not only inspiration for new artwork but also a renewed sense of belonging. Surrounded by fellow artists, the quiet beauty of the countryside, and time to create freely, I rediscovered the joy of community and reflection.

After seven years building a creative life in Sharon Springs, I’ve said goodbye to my New York home and studio and begun a new chapter in Los Angeles—continuing my work photographing people, creating fine art, and nurturing community across both coasts.
