From Sharon Springs to Los Angeles: A New Chapter in Art and Connection

I’m Christine Harris, a photographer and artist whose work bridges portraiture and fine art. This story marks the moment I transitioned from my studio in Sharon Springs, New York, to a new creative home in Los Angeles.

For seven years, New York has been my backdrop and my home. The landscape of Schoharie County, the changing seasons, and the village of Sharon Springs gave me community and inspiration. I photographed many faces and countless flowers, curated exhibits, and became part of a small town where art, neighbors, and friendship were woven into daily life.

This past month, I said goodbye to my home and studio in Sharon Springs and celebrated with one last exhibit. Wild Abundance, a collection inspired by goddesses and the divine feminine, filled the room with light, color, and conversation. The final week was a celebration I will never forget. Friends and collectors came out to support, to toast, and to bring pieces of the art home with them. It felt like both an ending and a blessing for what comes next.

Now I have arrived in Los Angeles. It feels like both a return and an expansion. I am here to continue the work I began in New York, to photograph people in their environments, to grow my fine art practice, and to build connections in a city that has always been part of my story. The ties to New York remain strong, and I look forward to returning, reconnecting, and sharing future work across both places.

To everyone who stood beside me in New York, who came to the exhibit, and who supported my work there, I carry you with me. Thank you for giving me such a rich and beautiful chapter.

The Wild Abundance Collection

Wild Abundance is a collection of six composite art pieces inspired by Greek goddesses. By blending my flower photography with advanced digital design, this series explores femininity, creativity, and nature’s transformative beauty. Each piece reflects the energy and symbolism of its namesake goddess, weaving intricate floral elements and storytelling into a vibrant expression of empowerment and grace. This project signifies a pivotal moment in my artistic growth, allowing me to push creative boundaries and connect deeply with my passion for art and storytelling.
