Photographing My Own Family

As a photographer, I spend most of my time documenting other people and their families, so it felt good to take the time to photograph my own girls in this season of life too.

I recently had my daughters in the studio for headshots and branding as they are now adults with careers.  The last hour they brought in their boyfriends and after a little coaxing, they relaxed into the process and we got some fun group photos.

The session was simple and relaxed. Clean light, neutral tones, and a mix of individual portraits and photos together as couples. I wanted photographs that felt natural and current to who they are right now without overcomplicating it.

These are the kinds of photographs that become more meaningful over time because they document relationships, personalities, and a moment that will eventually look different years from now.
